Privacy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
I respect your privacy. Here's plainly what happens with your information on this site.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't set any cookies of its own. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers and no social media scripts. I don't know who you are just because you visit. The only cookies come from the SermonAudio sermon player on the Sermons page (see below).
When you send me a message
If you use the contact form, you give me your name, your email address and your message. I use these only to read and reply to your message. I don't add you to any mailing list and I don't share your details with anyone.
Your message is sent to me by email through Gmail. It isn't stored on this website or in any counselling records. It stays in my email inbox only as long as I need it to reply, and I delete it within 12 months.
To keep out spam bots, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks that a real person is sending the message. To do this, Cloudflare processes some technical information from your browser, such as your IP address and device details, under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). Turnstile doesn't use cookies to track you around the web. Gmail is provided by Google. Google and Cloudflare are based outside South Africa, so they may process your information outside the country. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Links to shops
Some book links on the Reading page are affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Once you click through to a shop, you're on their website, and they may set their own cookies under their own privacy policy.
Sermons
The Sermons page shows a sermon player from SermonAudio, which hosts our sermons. The player comes from SermonAudio's website, not mine, and it sets its own cookies when the page loads. These help the player work properly, for example by remembering settings and keeping a session going. The player also sends error reports to a service called Sentry so SermonAudio can fix problems, and it loads Google's casting tools so you can play a sermon on a TV or speaker. I don't receive any of this information. SermonAudio's own privacy policy applies: sermonaudio.com/privacy. If you'd rather avoid these cookies, don't open the Sermons page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Counselling
If you schedule a counselling session, your information is handled by the counselling site and is covered by its own privacy policy: counselling.graceunlimited.co.za/privacy-policy
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just send me a message through the contact page. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Responsible party: Alan Lester, Graceunlimited. Contact me through the contact page.
